Wood Protector Scapo® - GLP
- Wood Protector SCAPO® – GLP is added to (any Resin media) Glue mix and results in treatment of the engineered wood (Plywood, Block Board & Flush Doors) through a Glue line treatment.
- Protection against Termites, Borers, Fungi & other wood destroying micro-organisms.
- Appearance: Deep brown viscous liquid O(500-550 cps at 30°C)
- Density: 0.943 – 0.968
- pH: 6.8 – 7

- Temp & pH degradation limit: 180°c – 220°C upto 11.5
- Dosing: 1% by weight of resin volume
- Dosing time: In the resin kettle or Glue mixer
- The Active Ingredients: CNSL (poly phenolic group), Neem seed oil karanj, kalmegh extracts, Creosote extract etc which are naturally termiticide, insecticide & fungicide

- The poly-phenolic group (is itself an anti-termite and an-borer). Present TMin the Wood Protector GLP acts also as a bonding agent in PF Resin hence, enhancing GSS in both dry and wet. It is naturally the best water repellent.

Recommended dose of 1 to 1.5% (or more if used) of Wood Protector SCAPO® – GLP have been shown to be efficacious in high pH phenolic Adhesives. Wood Protectoris stable at high pH and high temperatures. Phenol formaldehyde resins have a pH above 12 and is the most common resin used in the Plywood Industries. The high pH level degrades mostly common Organic Termiticides. Wood Protector SCAPO® – GLP is a rare exception and has confirmed in no degradation on the pot life.. observed more than 48 hours after mixing with any type of resin.
Testing confirmation of Wood Protector SCAPO® – GLP treated plywood, block boards & flush doors :
- Bonding test carried as per IS : 710 (Specification for marine plywood), IS : 4990 – 1993 (Specification for shuttering plywood), IS : 1659 (Specification for Block Board), IS : 1734 (Part-7) – 1986, Mycological Test, IS : 303-1989 Resistance to micro-organism.
- No weakening of Bond strength found.
